The Search for Work Pants– Updated!

In a month I’ll be starting a new job and so my darling husband mentioned that I might need some new clothes.

Not that I really need anything new, my closet is literally bursting at the seams, but with moving (eating out for a month for every meal due to the lack of pots/pans) and frankly being depressed about moving, I’ve gained 10lbs (this is what happens when one finds solace in potato chips and peanut m&m’s–more on my health journey later) so my work clothes could fit better.

So the search began for work appropriate clothes, that I can wear around a 2 year old and 85lb dog without the fear of monstrous dry cleaning bills.  Oh, and the clothes have to be flattering of course.   Continue reading

causal pants that transition from weekend to work

causal pants for Grace
My sister in law recently contacted me and needed work pants for her dental office which is professional but not overly corporate.   I came up with several options that I thought would transition from workplace (Fridays if your office is coat/tie dress code) to weekend.

Traveling with a Child

Although C is my first child, he has been on a total of 18+ flights in his 2 years of life including several cross country flights and 2 international flights of 12+ hours.  So, I feel like I have a lot of experiencing flying with a baby/toddler and I wanted to share some insights.  But, I have to caveat this advice with the note that C is an incredibly well behaved/calm child.  He just came out that way so I’m incredibly lucky!

This California girls is used to weather that remains consistent and Arlington is anything but consistent!  One day it is 80 degrees outside and the next it is 35 degrees and rainy!

Luckily, I have my little dinosaur to help me pass the time….and to jump in puddles with.
